HOSPITAL SUPPORT
Jenneh Farms supports the United Methodist Hospital in Ganta, one of Liberia’s largest cities. This hospital serves a population of over 400,000 in Nimba County, Liberia and areas of nearby Guinea. It was one of the leading Ebola treatment centers during the 2014-2016 outbreak.
The hospital has a dedicated team of doctors and professional staff, but their budget limits their ability to acquire modern medical equipment. The hospital faces additional challenges with unreliable electric power and water supply.
In 2026, Jenneh Farms purchased an oxygen concentrator for the hospital. It separates oxygen from nitrogen in the air, supplying purified oxygen to patients with respiratory illnesses (COVID, pneumonia, emphysema) and newborn infants. We also purchased a nebulizer, which converts medications into a mist for treating respiratory illnesses including asthma and COPD.
Also located in Ganta is a leprosy and tuberculosis rehabilitation center, affiliated with the Methodist Hospital. Jenneh Farms is working with the center on plans for growing oil palms on their undeveloped land. This will provide a valuable supplement to the center’s budget.
